Adaptation Strategy to Speak Sundanese as Intercultural Communication In Padjadjaran University

Intercultural communication often occurs in student life. The diverse campus consists of multi-ethnic students. One them is the existence Padjadjaran University which a thick with its motherhood and an educational destination for students outside Bandung. purpose this study was to find out how non-Sundanese adapted used what strategies speak Sundanese at University. theory accommodation toeri. research method qualitative. This Communication Accommodation Theory (CAT). subjects were three from object strategy they as intercultural communication. data collection technique semi-structured in-depth interviews. results showed that convergence emphasizes speakers follow local language because feel have something common identity, are willing use learn their accents tones, same motivation, namely using adapt culture.
